A
little story about the making of
One night, when I played a solo gig somewhere in spring 2004,
my good old friend Paddy Mc Harding turned up to tell me about his project,
to record an own created Music CD.
He also asked me to do the guitar jobs for his songs.
Well, I could not say “no!”, and deceided to do the job,
playing the guitars on his ideas.
At this time, all we had was his textsheets full of nasty material.
The
music only existed in Paddy`s fucking brain.
We started to sit in his room and he sung his lyrics and melodies to me.
First of all I thought: “Oh, my god, what a whole lot of old fucking rubbish”..................................
but I did not give up to take him seriously.
Slowly and patiently, we developed the rhythms of the songs
and started recording the basic tracks. Many of our songs have the same theme:
The fucking Bar round the corner (from........ where Paddy lives)
and the people visiting this place.
While and after recordingsessions, we spent quite a few nights in this pub,
which is called “Peter`s Steak Bar”.

Paddy turned it round and called it “Petersburg”.
So, whenever you will meet those textpassages with
“Petersburg” on our CD, we are talking about this pub,
its people, its loneliness, its boredom and
how another week has passed and we find ourselves again,
sitting in that lonesome place, my friend Jack D and me.
Anyway, all we ever wrote and sung about this place;
it is just a joke !
We only try to take the piss out of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It`s just a fake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After weeks and weeks of developments,
we recognized that our sound was growing better and better
and so we deceided that the world is in need of these songs.
They`re all so much different of what you usually
get by most radio-stadions.
There is a lot of heart and feeling involved.
In our lyrics as well as in our tunes.
What concerns the pictures in the Jam Project Gallery.........;
we are just trying to be real fucking stupid –
and we hope you do not take us too serious.
This world is such a sad fucking place
and so we are only trying to brighten it up a little bit.
And if you ever happen to come to
Bissingen/Germany you should not miss to visit Petersburg.
Lots of love, peace and happiness to you all
and many thanks for
reading this bullshit.
